Quick Verdict

Reply.io is the most genuinely multi-channel tool in this category — not “email plus a LinkedIn step” but full sequences across email, LinkedIn, phone, SMS, and WhatsApp in a single platform, with a built-in dialer with call recording and a 1B+ contact database. If your outbound motion truly requires multiple channels and you want one subscription to cover all of them, Reply.io is the strongest option available at this price range.

The catch is pricing complexity. The $49/user/month headline is email-only. LinkedIn automation (what many buyers actually want) is a $69/month add-on per account. Full multichannel with LinkedIn costs approximately $158/user/month on annual billing — significantly more expensive than the homepage implies, and more than Apollo Professional at $99/user/month with comparable depth.

Best for: SDR teams and agencies that genuinely use LinkedIn, phone, SMS, and email in the same sequences — and have a dedicated ops person to configure them. Also strong for agencies on the $166/month flat Agency plan.

Not for: Teams primarily doing cold email at volume (Instantly/Smartlead are a fraction of the cost), solo reps where per-seat pricing compounds fast, or buyers who want transparent all-in pricing without add-ons.

The LinkedIn add-on — what Reply.io doesn’t emphasize up front

LinkedIn automation is NOT included in any base plan. It’s a separate add-on at $69/month per account.

Real cost for one user on full multichannel (annual):

For a 3-user team: ($89 × 3) + $69 = $336/month. This is important to factor in before comparing Reply.io to Apollo Professional at $99/user/month, which includes database, sequences, and a dialer in one price.

Key Features

1B+ contact database. The largest built-in database in the category — larger than Apollo (210M+), Lemlist (450M+), or any other tool reviewed on this site. Coverage breadth across global B2B contacts is a genuine differentiator, though accuracy can vary by geography and company size.

True multi-channel sequences. Email, LinkedIn, phone calls, SMS, and WhatsApp as steps in a single automated sequence — not as separate campaigns you manually coordinate. For teams where the sequence logic genuinely crosses channels based on prospect behavior, this is the strongest implementation available at this price.

Built-in dialer with call recording. Multichannel includes a dialer and call recording — calls can be reviewed for coaching. This is included in the plan, not a separate add-on like it is on Apollo or Salesloft.

Jason AI. Reply.io’s AI agent for prospect research and personalized email copy. Jason AI researches a company from public signals and generates a personalized first-line — reducing manual personalization work for each prospect. Available on Multichannel and higher.

LinkedIn automation ($69/mo add-on). Connection requests, LinkedIn messages, profile visits, and InMails as automated sequence steps. Runs via Chrome extension; carries a ~3–5% account restriction risk over 90 days per active user — lower than many standalone LinkedIn automation tools but worth being aware of.

Agency plan ($166/mo annual). Unlimited client accounts at a flat rate for agencies managing outbound for multiple clients. The only plan with a truly flat rate in Reply.io’s pricing.

CRM integrations. Salesforce, HubSpot, and Pipedrive — activities, sequences, and outcomes sync bidirectionally.

Reply.io’s per-seat model means cost scales steeply with headcount. At 5 users doing full multi-channel, you’re paying 6.6× Instantly’s cost — the premium needs to be justified by the channel mix.
